BEN FENNER TO JOIN THE BARBARIANS AS NUMBER 23!
MasterCard competition winner Ben Fenner, a teacher from Harrogate, spent a week living, eating and training with the all-star squad, including Martyn Williams, Ma'a Nonu and Matt Giteau, as the 23rd member of the Barbarians squad for The MasterCard Trophy.
25 year old Ben said, "The whole thing was like a dream come true. I can't believe that I was part of one of the greatest teams in the World, meeting some of the legends of the game." Ben joined up with the team at their 5* central London hotel on the 29th November as they began preparations to take on World Champions South Africa at Twickenham on the 4th December.
MasterCard Ambassador and former Barbarian Will Greenwood said, "Playing for the Baa-Baas was one of the highlights of my career. This really is a money-can't-buy opportunity and something that will stay with Ben for the rest of his life."
